This Tim Hortons franchisee hired 82 disabled workers – Moneyville.ca.

Now I am lucky in that I run a business with my best friend of 25 plus years (we stopped keeping track a long time ago, and if you listen closely that’s him in the background yelling at me to stop blogging and get back to that laptop), so I don’t need to worry about convincing someone I am worth hiring. We’ve had to make a lot of adjustments to what I do and how since the chair came into play, but we’ve done it and we’re still learning.

I can’t even imagine how hard it would be to get back into the job market now, with the chair, and convince an employer that I will be better than another candidate. Kudos to the owner of the Time Horton’s in this article for seeing the worth, and by that I mean people of ANY disability, not just one like my own.

Give it a read and consider it the next time your company needs to hire someone.
